In Matthew 20:28, Jesus tells us that He came not to be served by others, but instead, He came to serve. As we look at Jesus life and ministry, that truth is extremely evident. Everywhere He went, He selflessly served those in need.
At FWC, we are committed to following Jesus' example. One way that we are striving to practically live this out, is by setting aside one Sunday each month to Gather & Go serve in our community.

Next Gather & Go Sunday
October 24th is our next (and actually our first official) Gather & Go Sunday!
We will be gathering at FWC at 9am to Gather and load up items from our Matthew Outreach, such as clothing, footwear, winter gear, and bags. We will then head over to 445 N Market St, where we will join up with Shower Up Wichita, a nonprofit that provides free showers to those experiencing homelessness.
From 10am to about 12pm, we will be helping people get clothes that fit them, winter gear to protect them, and bags to keep their belongings. We will also be praying for and with any who welcome it. Around 12pm, we will load up and bring everything we have left back to our building.
Please be in prayer that God would use us to be a blessing on this day!
